• Care: Use food grade oil not prone to rancidity for wooden cutting boards and utensils. Mineral oil is an inexpensive and popular choice, and you can easily find bottles in most stores. A homemade wooden spoon butter, which has a mixture of beeswax and mineral oil is good too. For best use, apply a generous amount of mineral oil to your cutting board with a damp cloth. In 2-4 hours, the wood will absorb the oil. Wipe off what is not absorbed with cloth or paper towels. Repeat monthly, or as often as needed when your board becomes dry.
